Hi, I just finished my 5.0 HO SEFI with AOD conversion about a month ago.  I now have power on tap.  It took me about a month to do the conversion.  Used NW offroad motor mounts and AA adapter.  Here is a pic after I finally got it bolted in.  It started on the first try.  Used the stock toyota electici fuel pump.

More to come.  :beerchug:

You gotta show some more pics man

Yea, how bout a shot from the front of the truck lookin at how well it fits.  I'm kinda curious about using the stock toy pump too, why not the goofy two pump ford setup, or did it come out of one of those two pump rigs?    Nate

Nice job Bill.........motor looks good.......this is Dustin, i bought your old 22re swap, thanks for the great deal and the motor is still running strong..... :beerchug:   post up some more pics......you happy with the new power??

Hey Dustin, and yes I do like the power.  I got your message the other day.  All I have left is the old power steering pump, sway bar and axle ubolts.  I did the ubolt flip on it.  Hi Nate, the factory electric pump in the tank put out 35 psi which is right in the middle for the factory Ford spec for the 5.0.

I don't have a very good shot of the front.  I used a V6 radiator with a 2000cfm pusher.  There wasn't enough room for the mechanical fan.  I put in an adjustable thermostat and it's working fine.  The fan only comes on when it's been idleing too long or wheelin.  This summer could be a little different though.  I'll probably end up going with a custom 4 row.

Anyone afraid of wiring up the EFI?  Don't be, it's not that difficult.  It will start on just a couple of hot wires and a ground.

Another coversion Pic.  Engine, trans, AA adapter and stock transfer case.  Would love to do the doubler and get the 23 spline case.  This conversion cost me about $2.5k.  That included the $800.00 rebuild on the AOD.  The adapter was a little over $500.00.  I could have done a SBC with a 700R4 but finding a TBI 350 with harness and everthing would be also expensive.  I like the distributor up front anyway. The engine came out of a 1991 Thunderbird that I paid $500.00 for and drove it home.  All I did was put new seals in it.  It has 140k miles on it and going strong. Uses a quart of oil to about 1.5k miles.  I ran the exhaust into a Y pipe to a performance cat and then into a Dynomax race series muffler and then out the stock location.  2.25 inch to the muffler and 2.5 out.  Cost me $400.00 for the exhaust.

there is no point in NOT running the ford pump. The only thing that holds the toyota AND the ford pump (they are essentially the same in size) is a hose clamp..

Pull the fuel pump bracket out of the tank, loosen the hose clamp and remove the toy one and put in the ford one..

Great, too bad I already got rid of the donor car.  The toy pump will probably last longer than a new expensive Ford pump anyway.  Someday I'll scrounge up a spare.

Thanks

Brandon

I did the same, so I went to the PnP and pulled one for a car for like $5. It never gave me any problems (5k miles so far)

Very nice! It doesn't look like you have a body lift, did you use the NWOR oil pan?

I'm using the stock pan.  I have the axle moved ahead about and inch which gave me a little more room.  It would take hard hit for the pan to hit the diff.  The body lift gave me a lot of additional room that I needed for the swap.  I can take a pic of it if you would like to see what it looks like.  Bill
