Im gettin a whopping 26 bucks back, probably get some sushi and a pack of gum or a 1/4 tank of gas.

Also self-amployed and do the quarterly tax thing.  I gave approximately 3,600.  So yeah, I am getting some back which is nice.

Got $85 back... bought me about a 1/2 tank of diesel.

Did my taxes and got them back before the 1st of February    got back a little over 6500 between fed and state.  Put it all in the bank, saving to buy a house

By paying in too much during the year, effectively giving Uncle Sam an interest-free loan.
Can be a way to save, though, if nothing else works.

I try that. I always claim zero, and have a lot taken out, but never get much back.
