here are some pics of my 86 runner i just finished building . it stills has a few issues i need to address but it pretty well there. I wish i would have done a full build thread on it but my plan is to keep this updated now as i do future mods. tomorrow ill tell about what ive done to the truck it was actually quite a bit of work although it probably doesnt look like it. Feel free to post up any questions or comments, this forum has been really helpful in the building of this tuck.  Thanks, Dillon

thanks guys.  Guess ill write a little bit about now . I bought this thing as a  neglected 4runner from nevada it had an automatic, a 4 cylinder on its way out and a really crappy interior. i got a donor truck with a manual and a nice interior but the body was rustin away being from virginia. I did the manual tranny swap and rebuilt the engine. got some 31x 10.5 trxuss and an e locker for the rear and ran it that way for a  while. it was nice havin the 4.30 gears from bein an auto with those 31's. I took it to rubicon last summer and i tactually did surprisingly well but it drug the rocks a lot and i did end up breaking a cv shaft, so i figured i would do a solid axle swap on it. I set it up on jackstands and cut the ifs off in about august last year and just got to  the point of where i am now in about mid january . it tokk a while doin it between work and other activities. thats pretty much about all of it so here is a list of mods ive done and a few things i still need to do.

completly rebuilt front axle 30 spline longs, 5.29 hp e locker, ifs hubs with tacoma drop off rotors, 5th stud mod.
04 tacoma axle with 5.29 and beefed up housing to fix the week housing problem hopefully
63" chevys in back wit orbital eye hangars and axle moved 2 inches back
ruf with one leaf thrown in from a f 150 pack
dual cases with stock in front , 23 spline mc 07, 23 spline 4.7 xd gears rear case, bobby long output shaft , marlin twin sticks, sky ebrake.
drivetrain lifted 2.5 inches , custom tranny tunnel with cupholders
37x12.5 iroks on aluminum wheels balanced wtih air soft bb's
rebuilt engine with downey header and all new exhaust, New odyssey battery hopefully its as good as everyone says.
sliders and bumpers all built myself and a warn 9.5 ti winch on the front
seats out of a 92 sr5 4runner really comfortable seats
fenders trimmed all the way around
frame height at about 25"

stuff i still need to take care of

install my cam from davez off road
seal up my rear fenders
add a leaf to front pack
move my computer up to my glove box or something
fix leaky brake reservoir
fine tune my bb balancing i dont think they have enough they ride great except at freeway speeds?

i think thats about it for now future mods include a rear tire carrier and an exo cage for now.

Rig looks clean. Seems like you didn't spare any expenses and built it right.

thanks for the compliments on the bumper i thought it turned out pretty good for building with it with a skill saw with a cut off wheel. i have since invested in a plasma cutter   so much nicer
