:dunno:in the morning my jeep starts up fine, but if i let it sit for more then an hour in takes forever to start, after i pump the gas for awhile it starts up.  Sometimes when i drive, then turn it off for like 5 to 10 minutes it wont start, it doesnt even turn over, i wait awhile, then it starts up.  What is wrong with my jeep? :help:

Carb of EFI?

How old is your fuel filter?

If it is not turning over, your starter solonoid might be frozen because it is an old starter. If you are getting a "click, click" noise when you try to start it, then this is the case. Just take a rock or a long rod and wack the side of the starter a few times. This will loosen up the solonoid and allow the starter motor to work.

well mike if its clicking the solenoid is working its mostlikely the brushes inthe starter that have bad contact. It could be the solenoid contact too but I have found it to be the starter 9- times out of 10..Depending on what year your jeep is it may not have the solenoid on the starter.i have also found that you might have to have someone hold the key in the start position while hitting the starter in extreme cases to get it to turn.Depends on how far gone the starter is.Good luck...
