Dual cases, top and forward shift

ok so im getting a 94 sased pickup with a w56 and a forward shift gear driven case. i also have the original top shift case from my 81. can you do dual cases with 1 top shift and 1 forward shift case and if so what reduction box has to go first?

Forward first,adapter, then top shift.

If you ever plan on running a v6 trans or turbo trans I think both cases need to be converted to topshift because the adapter for rf1a cases to the r series doesn't allow for front shift.  But for the w or g series front shift on the first case should be ok.

Ya i'll cross that bridge if i ever get there. Im going to stick with the w56 though and im going to need a different driveline on this truck so i wanted to build it to dual cases the first time. So thanks for the info guys

I run a turbo transmission with a forward shift crawlbox, MC07 adapter, and top shift t-case. The forward shift box is what came behind my tranny stock.
