Toyo Open Country Tires...Anyone use them?

Hey guys got a tech question.  I was down at my local Less Schwab and they recommended getting the new Toyo Open Country tires for running in the snow.  I am looking at a 37x14.50x15 tires to run on Mickey Thompson 15x12 rims that I already own.  I wanted to get the Gumbo Mudders because I have wheeled with guys who have them, and have been very impressed.  The LS guy said that there are a few guys at the shop that run them sipped and they love them.  They look like they aren't to bad.  Good sidewall tread and they have a 3 ply side wall.  I had some 38 tsl's that I got and was really dissapointed with how they performed offroad.  Anyhow any advice on this would be appreaciated.  I've run 37 SSR's before and would go with them again if they were widered.  I have a set even on my tow rig a F250 but  who knows how long they's last with that heavy deisel and being 37's

I have not used them my self but have buddies who run them.  They tell me there awsome in the snow.  For a heavy truck like this with lots of torque, the Toyo is a good tire.  There a high quality tire and there ten ply.

I have the 35s that are on my landcruiser that I am selling and they work perfect

sorry if I confused anybody but I'm going to be running them on my 4 runner.  I need a good snow tire for wheeling and I'm thinking of those going on my 4 runner

My dads got a set of 33's on his truck he really likes them! they work good i drive the truck alot and they do fine for me! they handle good in the snow as well.

I just hope that they are soft enough.  I like to run my tires around 3-5 psi when I'm snow wheel and I hope they aren't to stiff.

are they good for DDs? or just snow?

I've heard they have a really long life expentancy I guess like the MTR's

if you want to get it in the snow gumbo radails are the only way to go
the toyos will be stiff like a swamper
all tires have a place and for the snow the gumbos are the best and id challange any who differs
but thats all that the gumbos are good for. so you need to think before you spend $1800 on tires like that
i had 2 sets for my toy SXs and gumbos
will this be just for snow or other kind of wheelin to

I do rocks too.  I traded a friend 5 almost new bfg's for some 38 tsl swampers.  I like swampers and have even ahve some 39.5 boggers in my shop right now.  The new 38's I just got suck a** in the snow I had 2 come off the wheel in 5 feet of each other.  I would love to buy some gumbos but Les Schwab said that they are no longer making them and they are discontinuing them at theirl store.  Like I said in an earler post he claims that guys say they run as good as the gumbo's once they are sipped and they only have a 3 ply sidewall.  The gumbo's have a 2 ply.  I've also got a set of some 39.5x15x16 truxus tires that i've run in the snow and they seem to do pretty good.  I'm pretty much looking for a tire that will I can use on the road too.

ya i'm running the 35x13.5.  Love 'em.  But I wouldn't know how they perform in the snow since i live in So. Cal.

gotrocks  with all those tires you got laying around why buy any more ?
