I have blue tops in all my junk Toyota, tractors and even the motor home where I have 4. No issues with the quality on the blue tops that I have seen.

Wow... that's crappy how a once-great company has taken the low road. IIRC red tops at Sam's/Costco are still around the $100 mark; can't say for sure. My blue top (old style) came to me with 2.35 volts and I have nursed it back to health; going to do the same with an old red-top soon. Got both for free, can't complain if they don't last too long, right?

Seems like Odyssey is the new Optima, eh?

No problem. Unfortunately hey didn't have any Oddesseys at Napa when I needed a new battery for the gfs rig, I was looking forward to trying them. Ended up with the Napa brand cuz her battery was dead as a doornail and I couldn't wait. My Supra will probably need a new battery some time in the near future, so I'm going to get one for it and give em a shot.

Funny, I was going to make the same comment!  Hopefully optima will eventually see a big enough hit in the pocket to realize their money saving move was an idiotic decision.  Until then, others have and will step up to fill the void.

Not sure on the current napa lineup, but I know the red top equivelants they previously had were complete and total junk.
