trunnion bearing issue.
« on: Nov 14, 2010, 11:55:19 AM »
Ok, so I am a bit new to forums, but I have a big problem!! I am suppossed to be driving across country tomorrow and after getting tires put on at les schwab yesterday they said my trunnion bearing is shot and I need to replace it ASAP. I lifted up my 84' toyota pickup and checked the play by moving my tire top to bottom, there is about an inch of play. I am assuming this is extremely bad. Will it make it? I don't know. What should i do to replace it or do i need to? Also is this a dealer part only?
I appreciate any help on this. Also if I need to replace it what is the time frame on the job, and how much are parts gonna run? Thanks - Brandon

Get the wheel bearings. Do it all now while it's apart.
