Marc P's Honcho
« on: Nov 08, 2010, 06:14:30 AM »
Since I dont have my real crawler anymore I needed something to fill the void until I get my new build going...The Honcho will fit the bill.

I already have a Rooster Crawler, Hitec 5645 servo, and upgraded shocks for it, and I ordered the Tacoma sticker kit for it.

Went out to a local spot to try it out...I have to say it was the most fun I have had with RC in a while.

The truggy has enough wheel speed to do dusty donuts, but crawled almost as well as my old AX10. With the 2s lipo I was able to go over 1 1/2 hours, and it still had plent of juice.

Took a couple pics..

My current fleet..

For now it works...may upgrade to a 35-45t later....the Rooster Crawler esc helps a lot. It has a strong drag brake.

Nice Honcho. I've been debating on wether to get the Honcho or a Losi Mini for my next RC crawler.

I had a built up AX10 for a while...but I am having way more fun with this almost stock Honcho. It looks and handles more like a real truck.

yea im way over my ax10 and for the same reason i want more of a realistic trail truck. have have you also thought about doing the leaf spring conversion from RCBros.com hers the full conversion http://cart.rcbros.com/product_info.php/rcbros-honcho-leaf-spring-conversion-p-233 the front only http://cart.rcbros.com/product_info.php/rcbros-scx10-front-leaf-spring-conversion-p-194 and heres just the rear conversion http://cart.rcbros.com/product_info.php/rcbros-honcho-rear-leaf-spring-conversion-p-234.

i think it would give it more of that real truck feeling
