Selling my 14" Bilstein 5125s [SOLD]
« on: Oct 31, 2010, 03:49:03 PM »
I've got two 14-inch 5125 Bilstein shocks that I no longer need. They have been in use for a good 2 or 3 years, however, I am not daily driving my truck anymore so these shocks are in very good condition, definitely good for many more years of use.

I would like to get $100 for the pair + $10 shipping

As for payment, add $3 if you would like to use PayPal, or I'll accept a money order via snail mail.

Here is a pic of them below.

Thanks!

It's quite basic really. I have a selectable rear locker (Toy E-Locker), so as long as the rear diff is unlocked, I can trap brake pressure on just one side to cut corners much sharper due to the increased inside rear tire's rolling resistance. It does an o-k job with the drums, but I'll be switching to disk brakes later this winter (already on my to-do list) for improved turning performance. As for emergency brakes, they (hydraulic) work better than the cable pull setup, and if I ever needed to park the truck for a prolonged period of time and am worried about the cylinders burning up or my battery running dead, then I'd never use e-brakes in the first place, rather using triple-low 1st gear in 4WD. That's eleventy bazillion times better than an e-brake.
