I recently removed all my carpet, padding, and whatever that plastic like stuff is stuck to the floor of my 91 4runner. The floor is now totally clean, and I want to use some type of bedliner material to cover the floor. I've been looking into Herculiner brand, but have not found any long term reports on how it does. Looking for feedback from people who have done used it for this, how well it holds up, etc.

Ive had mine for 3 years. It still looks great. Store the truck out side with no doors and its been fine.

My buddy did his entire Suburban inside with Herculiner.  It retains heat like crazy, dual AC can't keep up.  Prep is crucial, in areas he got lazy it is coming off and looks cruddy, but then again could be attributed to his getting lazy on such a huge job.  Been on just shy of a year, the front where he prepped and cleaned well is solid but the footwells are showing wear.  I say do it but do it well, it is a great product that does what it says it will.

ya heat would be my worry because i dont have a/c but my dad has herculiner in the bed of his truck its been like 2 1/2 years and its holding up great. like 83 said prep is crucial. take your time or youll pay for it in the end.

Thanks Slolyfe.
It will be prepped well. it's clean as a pin inside now, just needs a good scuff and wipedown with acetone. I have a/c plus live in eastern Wa., so heat is less of a concern. I don't think heat affecting the material itself will be as much of a concern as it would be with an auto like in a suburban. :dunno:

Just saw an extreme4x4 show last weekend where they applied the lzard skin ceramic heat barrier and the sound deadening stuff. Looks good to me. But I think they were gonna put the carpet down over the top. Worth checking out though. :twocents:

Yeah, It has been around for along time. You might call them and ask how well it would hold up?

I just watched an episode of Trucks were they used that stuff seemed to go on pretty easily even with there theatrics involved.

I did my interior with it in my runner. It held up pretty good. A little wear on the drivers side where my feet sit. I will post some pics up. On the box they say after its applied it is permenent
