converting 31 spline to 28 spline

I broke an axle in my 28 spline 9inch. I have a spare diff that is 31 spline.What do I need to change to make the 31 spline work with my 28 spline axles?
I'd rather push a Toyota than drive a Jeep!!!

Side gears in the diff.
Some idiots are too busy knowing it all, to ever learn anything...
