Hey BD, you said that you drove home from Sac to VV. Would that be Vacaville? If so, I havnt seen your rig around town. I have been gone for the past 6 months in Texas for boot camp and tech school so that could explain why. Id like to get together and take a look how you mounted the chevys in the rear of your truck.

ok, this weekend I am fixing my bondo disaster on the drivers side, I'm gonna make some summertime doors, put in a center console, and try to fix my TPS and my timing (again)

I have reached a dilemma though, should I bob my bed, or put a 4runner rollbar in it, and a bench seat for some passengers?  I'm not doing both, because I need some space for "stuff"  cooler, toolbox, sleeping bag, etc.

I havent yet decided, what do ya'lll think?

The roll bar idea is unique,, as far as the bed bob goes you have to decide if you want it because every ones doing it or if you think you need it for less overhang

I like the idea of a shorter body, cause with the xcab and my bed, my truck is looong, but I still havent decided if it is practical.  I'm thinking of going with the rollbar idea, because it is different.
An I dea I thought of but havent put much thought into yet would be to take the back section of a jeep tub, take off my bed, and put it on :hahaha:  dunno how it would look, but it would be unique

I made my doors out of
3/4" EMT conduit
PVC hose elbows
Snow Netting (construction fencing)
Zip ties

Made the frame out of the EMT and elbows, stretched the snownet tight, zip tied it on, and painted both doors.

I made these doors for a few reasons.
(1) no a/c, and that fresh breexe blowing in feels really good
(2)somewhat of a theft deterrent.  I can padlock the doors shut at night, and although they can be broken, it makes the truck less accessible, cause it is a PITA to try and climb through the windows that high up
(3) I ave a little body roll, and it freaks some people out that regularly ride with me when I go around a orner with the doors off, and they feel like they're gonna fall out.  Peace of Mind I guess :screwy:
