my buddy tried with choclate milk.   said it was so good that there was no way he could fail.  Chugged adout half a gallon right off the bat, then sipped on the rest for a while, then he puked it all back up.  He faild but it was great entertainment.

chugging a whole gallon of anything can actually kill you. no joke.

No chugging a gallon of water or milk won't kill you. maybe tequila or something but definitely not water or milk.  Every hour, a healthy kidney at rest can excrete 800 to 1,000 milliliters, or 0.21 to 0.26 gallon, of water and therefore a person can drink water at a rate of 800 to 1,000 milliliters per hour without experiencing a net gain in water. so after 4 hours you have peed out all the water you drank.

yeah, but the challenge is 1 gallon in an hour, your body cant deal with that much, and you will yak

and too much water and you can get water poisoning, which is just as bad, and just as serious as alcohol poisoning

FAIL..... I'll post the puke video later... haha It was funny stuff.

Chugged about half and waited 20 ended up with a little less than a quarter left.

I tried it with an empty stomach... not sure if that helped or made it worst.
Training starts soon, lol
I have a theory, If I eat a huge meal the day before and just munch on peanuts or something all the next day I can keep it stretched out to take in more milk.. maybe eat a few pieces of bread to soak it up idk im gunna try till I can do it.. haha

ya but water poisoning or "toxicity" is a long term affect from drinking gallons of water of the course of a day or so and not urinating.  i still only have seen 3 people to this day drink a gallon of milk in an hour. my point was just that you won't die from it. and if your puking every time you try it your not even close to absorbing enough to get Hyponatremia. I have another challenge called the 4 - 4 - 40. its where you drink 4 quarts of water in 4 minutes and have to hold it down for 40 seconds. only got 3 quarts down before i turned into a geyser.

At work every new kid or ride along that comes in we bet them a few hundred dollars they cant do it. So far I have seen about 15 people fail. A few have finished but not been able to hold it down for the full hour.

Oh yes it can.   Like jimbo said, water intoxication.

http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/hydrationandfluid/a/Hyponatremia.htm

This link has better information than I would expect to find in the media.  The linked article had few details of the event for comparison.

The issue isn't just a volume of water, it's low concentration of sodium in the blood that can be caused by sweating and only replacing the lost water with pure water.  I would guess that the lady that died in the Wee for WII contest likely already had reduced sodium in her blood that may have been from reduced sodium in her diet (people do this) or other natural reasons.  It seems that it would normally take some excessive sweating combined with a lot of pure water to cause death.

I chugged a gallon of orange juice once - and kept it down.  The really bad part was the burning from all that acid on the way out.....3 days of diarrhea...........

Me and a co-worker tried taking on this local pizza challenge and from what we've gathered from the people that have completed it..... is that you eat a huge salad in the morning because it'll expand the stomach but your body can digest the salad quickly so that when it comes time to take on a large meal your stomach's ready for it.

Here's the challenge we tried, yea we failed!  got 3/4's of it.

Apparently Pepperoni is really hard which is what we tried because I love Pepperoni pizza. After about 8-9 slices the pizza really starts tasting like dog  :pokinit:

It's 7.5 lbs and is equivelent to two extra larges and a medium, say's it serves 10-12 people.. lol..

2 people and 45 min's, if you eat it you get it for free, looks DO-ABLE but its tough.

They do something similar at luigi's pizza up here.  3 guys get 30 minutes to eat a 30" pizza.  A friend tried and failed, said kinda the same thing, pepperoni gets hard to eat after a while.
