Flat pitman arm for RUF
« on: Oct 04, 2010, 08:39:40 AM »
I am collecting parts to SAS my truck and I was wondering if you need to run a flat pitman arm when running a ruff pack?I assume that flat pitman arms are for low suspension set ups. Also does anyone know about running a third gen 2 wheel drive pitman arm? Thanks

You dont have to use a flat pitman arm for ruf packs.  Its nicer to have the clearance but if your bump stops are set up correctly then the springs will never hit the pitman arm.

i used a flat pitman arm on my 81 with RUF. couldn't use a drop at all, would hit the springs just sitting there. also you turn tighter with a flat one.
