E-locker

is there somthing you have to do to the axle  to install this to make it work
like longer splines on the shaft for the coupler to slide.
i no about the housing mods and thats no problem any others i should be aware of

I don't think so. Just modify the housing. The axles don't require any mods to the best of my knowledge.

your artical is one of the reasons i went to the E-locker and not the ARB

I've got a much better method of wiring the locker, I just need some time to create an image and I'll share it.

Hey Mike, any knowledge of retrofitting the elocker to a 1997 2.7 AT XtraCabTaco rear axle?  To my knowledge the axle housing is incompatible, but can I find an elocker alxe housing (or modify a non-elocker housing to accept the elocker) from a V6 and swap the axle guts over?  And will the current axle shaft splines mate with the elocker?

what exactly are you trying to do?

to my knowledge, all 30 spline(4runner and mini 8", taco/t100/tundra 8.4") axles are interchangeable(as long as they're the right size for the housing.  to do an e-locker swap you need a regular 8" housing, not an 8.4" housing so a plain jane taco housing won't work
