I have the following vehicle:

1991 Toyota Corolla 1701E
Mileage: 220,000
4-door
1.6 liter twin-cam 16 valve EFI 4-cylinder engine
Front-Wheel Drive
5-speed manual transmission
Power-Front disc brakes
Air-Conditioning

After the car is driven for about an hour,
the shifter starts popping out of gear into neutral.
I think this happens mostly in 3rd and 4th gears.

From what I hear, the shift-lever seat, seal, cap,
and bushing need to be replaced.

(Others have told me to have the transmission rebuilt.  :shakehead:)

The Toyota dealer wants to sell me:

Lever Sub-Assembly  $86.11
Retainer                  $119.09
Bushing                   $2.90

I am not a mechanic nor am I all that familiar with this stuff,
and am trying to find out specifically what parts to order
from Marlin Crawler.

I took a look but the site asks some specific questions
that I am unable to answer.

Maybe my best bet is to try and phone them...???

Thanks.

I ended up [partially] trading in my 1991 Toyota Corolla for a 2010 Toyota Corolla LE.
The dealer gave me a whopping $250 towards the new one for $14,000 !
