Did you outboard your shackles in front or did you use a bent shackle through the frame?

this front axle is actually set up to be the width/spring pad width for a Toyota,
I narrowed the longside GM tube by 2.25"s and originally was running a 1978 Ford longside stock axle, by doing this you can keep stock axles(Ford longside/GM shortside) and keep the springs under the frame, I have also built a full width D44 Toyota and on that one I just built a wider front drop box, and outboarded the rear shackle hangers under the frame,, 8)

How was the highway ride with the outboarded shackles? Any death wobble because of caster problems?

On the full width Toy I built, with outboard shackles,, I had no death wobble issues,, it actually was a 2 finger on the steering wheel rig when going down the highway,, it had 17x40 DC Fun Country tires and the only problem was a balance issue on the tires I could feel until about 50mph than it smoothed out,,

My 90 Runner has a tad of wobble but only after crossing RR Tracks,, , I added a steering stabalizer and it pretty much took all the wobble out, 8)

here is a picture of the full width Toy just after installing the D44/14bolt and tires
