85 4Runner, lifted and locked. Upstate NY $5500
« on: Sep 09, 2010, 07:32:31 AM »
The truck for sale is a 1985 Toyota 4runner with the original great running 2.4L 22RE with just north of 77,800miles (NO BULL) located in Saratoga Springs, NY. It is the delux (base model), red exterior with a tan/brown interior. The seats are in really great condition, no tears. The driveline is that of an 85 with the cab and shell of an 86, therefore the VIN/registration will be for a 1986 4runner. I have paperwork showing the original owner of the 1986 vehicle purchasing the Ziebart undercoating and to this day, you can still see most of it underneath. The frame is also in excellent conditon. It's very solid and I recently rustoleumed it with several coats. Prior to me purchasing the vehicle the previous owner had replaced these items: oil pan, alternator, ignition module, plugs, wire, cap, rotor, cd player (Pioneer), water pump, and rear brake lines. It does also have a newer battery. There are several small things on the truck that don't work, the cigarette lighter doesn't work and the rear window would go down but not up. One other negative is there is some (minimal) cancer around the edges of the fenders. All gauges work, 4wd hi and lo work, the ARB locker works, headlights, etc. Because of the rear window not being able to roll back up, I chopped the topper in order to seal off the cab and be able to use the tailgate. The topper and truck bed were than lined with Sante Fe Brown grizzly grip bedliner. I had a 400EX fourwheeler fit perfectly in the back with the topper cut the way it is. Also, the reason I went with 5.29 gears is my intentions were to put 35's under it, which will result in a near stock final drive ratio therefore keeping the speedometer correct. The 33's however have a lot of tread left so replacing them is far off. I'm not in dire need to sell this at this time so my price is pretty much firm. Its an extra car insurance payment and takes up room in the driveway, but i still enjoy to drive it 3 or more days a week. I can deliver approximately 200 miles for a small fee from zipcode 12866. Here is a list of most of the modifications done:
