NWOR makes great springs!  i have a set of their lift rear springs that i put up front with out adding any leafs on my 85 toy pickup on 37's.  works great.  i've had them in my truck since 2000.  had lots of wheeling and street driving on them.  holding up great.  Bought mine new for right around $400 if I remember right.  springs come with a lifetime warrenty against breakage or sagging.  one of the best springs out there in my opinion.  you should get really close to the amount of lift that they are listed to give you.

NWOR has been around a long time, and they have been making springs a long time.  i've never heard anything bad about there springs or ever had a problems with them.  I ran a set of 4404's  and broke the top(main) leaf less than a year after buying them new and putting them on.  i'm very happy with the NWOR's and highly recommend them.

I have NWOR springs on my 4runner, I believe 2.5 inch lift, maybe 3, I bought them awhile ago so I don't remember off the top of my head.  They are so stiff that I can completely flex my suspension and never hit the bumpstops.  I put my highlift under my rock rails (to test the rock rails) and noted that my back tire only has 1.5" of downtravel before completely unloading.  Needless to say I'm going to tear into them and use them as add-a-leafs with stock springs.

a link to NWOR's springs...http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/suspension_intro.html

from everything you guys have said about how stiff they are makes me think you got heavy duty/heavy load leaf springs which would explain why they are so stiff.  good info on their leafs though.

he shouldn't have bought a new one. all he had to do was send it back and have it replaced for free.

I specifically did not get their heavy duty springs.  but they are almost twice as thick as stock springs and there are only three leafs (up front).  Typically softer off road springs are thinner leafs but more leafs.  For instance, Marlin front springs have 6 leafs - double that of NWOR, and I would bet they are not as stiff.  I'm not trying to tell you that yours don't work well, and I'm not trying to say that they don't flex - they do.  But I can't hit the bumpstops flexing my suspension with their 2.5 non-heavy duty springs, and I feel like I have a harsh ride since I only have 1.5 inches of downtravel in the rear (again I don't have their HD packs)

don't know what to say.  i just know mine work great and my buddy's that have them also work great.  then again, we are running RUF's.

I'm sorry, I didn't read your post as well as I should have.  I have NWOR springs at all 4 corners, NOT northwest rears up front.  That would probably make a big difference as the added stiffness would be welcome up front since usually OEM rear springs are wayy soft.  That might work out real well.  I might even try that since I was put off of RUF since around here (AL) they and chevies are too soft.

That makes sense now.  i didn't have to add any leafs to my pack to move them up front. actually pulled out the over load.  that would make sense though why the rears would be a stiff ride.  sorry for the miscommunication.
