Well Sept 1st is almost here and I cannot wait. I hunt from RedTop on 152 all the way down to Mcfarland on 99. But am mostly in Madera between Ave 18 and Ave 7 off of 99. The Dove have been thick so far this year at the ranches so should be another fun year of shooting. I still use my moms first Remington 1100 20Ga shotgun she got when she was 16 , here i am still using it at 37. The benelli Super black Eagle is ALOT nicer, but something about using my Mommas shotgun feels nice. Plus I tell my buddies i use the 20Ga to make it fair for them.
Who else likes to Dove hunt? Where do you hunt ? What gun do you prefer.

Pic from opening day morning shoot Last year.
If I hit it just right, I might make it.

I like to wrap mine in turkey or beef bacon, throw it on the grill, and when its cooked, put a little chedder on it and let it melt  :drooling:

RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!
