One of a kind Ford Courier / Toyota Crawler SoCal
« on: Aug 24, 2010, 10:45:43 PM »
SOLD

This is my fourth time posting this (on PBB) for those of you keeping track.  :hammer:  Really for sale this time, I'm not taking it down.

FYI, the last time I took my add down was because there was a chance that I may have gotten a fairly big name magazine to shoot the truck for a feature.  They don't like people turning their magazine into a classified add, so I took my post down.  Over the weekend I decided that I really don't care if it's in a magazine or not, I'd rather just sell it and move on.  It's definetely unique though, so a buyer should have a decent chance of getting it in print.   I'll forward the magazine guys info to a new buyer.

Here is the most up to date picture with the cage painted.  I have about 9-cans of color matched paint in spray cans in case a fender or door needs to be replaced in the future.

There are many pictures of my entire build in my photobucket album.

http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g26/earlkann/Courier/

1973 Ford Courier mounted to an 82/83 Toyota 4x4 frame.  I did it myself, but it's well done, not a total hack job.

22RE stripped down and swapped to a carb manifold to run the GotPropane system.  Mounts for two tanks in the bed, three steel propane tanks included.
GM 100amp 1-wire alternator on ToolBoxGuy mount.
Headman header, new exhaust.
Summit aluminum radiator.
New Optima yellow top.
New Willwood brake and clutch master cylinders.

Trans is a freshly rebuilt Marlin L52HD with billet short throw shifter.
Dual transfercases with Marlin MC07 adapter.
Rear case has new Trail Gear 4.7 gear set and twin stick (not shown in pictures)
Front Range t-case disconnect for front digs.
I have a CNC cutting brake and all the lines/fittings to install it, but not in there yet.
Two Afco manual line locks for parking brake.
Modified TG tcase mount/skid plate.

Both front/rear driveshafts just rebuilt with long travel splines.
Front axle is a stock 84/85 housing.
Low pinion 4cyl 5.29 with ARB locker.
Longfield 30-spline shafts.  (still need to get some Longfield hub gears)
Outers completely rebuilt with new bearings, Marlin axle seals, Front Range ARP high steer studs/nuts.
Sky offroad widening kit.
TG diff armor, unknown vendor truss, Marlin knuckle gussets/shock mounts.
IFS calipers and FJ rotors.
Marlin Crawler high steer.
Rebuilt IFS box, drilled and tapped.
Trail Gear hydro assist ram.  Stock pump drilled out.  Have a PS cooler that isn't installed yet.

Front suspension AllPro 4" springs.
Bilstien 12" shocks
Shock hoops, dropped front hanger.

Rear axle is stock IFS housing and shafts.
V6 5.29 ARB locker
GM Monte Carlo disk brake conversion.
Rear suspension I was told they were Marlin 5" "import" springs, but they clamps say Betts on them.
Bilstien 14" shocks.

5 36x13.50x15 IROKS on black steel wheels.  4 are used but good condition, spare is like new.

Interior has PRP +2" Daily driver seats.  Back of cab is cut out for leg room.

Rear 36" PRP bench mounted in the bed.  Bed floor has been cut out to lower the seat maintaining head room for back seat passengers.
4 new DJ Safey harnesses with 2" padded shoulders and 3" lap belts + sub.

Exo cage built by certified welder.  Mostly all 1.5 DOM with a few pieces of HREW in there.

Kenwood 2-meter "race radio" with magnet mount antennae.
Warn M8000 winch.

It still needs:
ARB compressor mounted/plumbed.  I cracked the tank on the ARB compressor, parts are in to fix it, just have to get it done.
Floor boards finished.  Front has some rust and holes for clearance.  Back seat needs floors fabricated.
Seat belt mounts for back seat.
Winch solenoid pack mounted.  Winch cables hooked up.
Cutting brake installed.  Rear brakes are currently hooked up and drive-able.
I'm sure there may be some other stuff.  Rock lights, some wiring for the wipers to work, etc...

Truck is currently street registered and street legal.  Smog exempt in CA.

Located in San Jacinto, SoCal.

$9000 OBO

Will throw in my trailer for another $500.  It's ugly and needs work but gets the job done.

Can deliver for the right price or some gas money.

One of my all time favorite "odd ball" rigs. Good luck with the sale. Well worth the price tag IMO. Beautiful truck.   :beerchug:
