Just finished building some bump stop mounts just need to flex it out before I mount them up.  Plan on finishing the steering today mounting my v6 aluminum radiator and a few miscellaneous things.  I need to gusset the front cross member a little more as well.

Really pumped about the ride height though.
Wheel base is 116
Frame height is 21 1/2
top of the cab measures just under 6 foot

Ordered a few sticks of tubing today I really want to start the front clip and cage soon.
My goal is to keep everything as light as possible.  Im going to be using a 1 1/2 in 120. wall tubing for most of the cage work.

Thanks I wanted to get the front end as far forward as possible and keep it sitting low as well. I'll be running 44's in the snow so I needed to make sure there is enough room for when I did.

thanks guys

I my aluminum v6 radiator and electric fan all mounted up and wired.  Worked on the steer as well just need to drill out the other 2 wholes in the 6 shooters and get hardware.  Mounted up a bored out york compressor I had on my 85 too.  120psi on tap with a 10 gallon tank.  Drilled hole in the cross member for the winch as well.

Finally got the stock pitman arm off and replaced it with a flat one.  Everything in the front end is super close steering, fan, york compressor, winch......
Heres a picture of the radiator fan and compressor just to give you an idea of how close everything really is.

How close it this to being done? In time for the "day in the desert" (or something like that) with Victorvalley 4wheelers at the end of the month. I hear it's supposed to be a ok running just about every trail out there.

Got the rear end doved in and I moved the bedsides back 3 1/4 inches so I didnt have to cut the fiberglass.  Theres a gap between the bed and cab but when I put the exo on it should work out perfect in covering up the gap.

I'll post pictures up later tonight.

If everything goes smooth I should be driving it to work to start tubing the front clip this weekend.

Well got it pulled out of the driveway and onto the street for the first time in a while yesterday.
Messed with the steering for a little and got it all lined up and good to go.  The pitman arm just clears the frame so no need to notch it out.Heres a picture of the steering. There from a I phone so its ok quality.

Heres a picture to justify how far forward the steering box really is.

Also made some quick mud flaps so the 5 O dont bother me.

Re: SliT Red Lower it or Lift it....????
« Reply #55 on: Sep 29, 2010, 08:53:59 AM »
Now I need to figure out if I lower the front to match the back or lift the back to match the front.

I know I need to lift the front shackles up and lower the front a little so I might just add another pack to the back springs and lower the front a little.
Plan is to recess the shackle into the frame in the front but I wont be able to till I can get it to the shop hopefully this weekend  :crossed:

Lower it or Lift it?
What do you guys think the frame it already at like 21 inches but it'll be getting a flat belly when I put the cases in so nothing will be hanging lower than that.
