Another FNG from Bakersfield, CA
« on: Jun 28, 2010, 11:08:51 PM »
Hi all, new guy here to the board.  I signed up awhile ago, but never posted anything yet.  Really was interested in the tech stuff on toyotas thus far.  Thanks a bunch, it has been great for the info.
I have had many jeeps, from old to newer, then one early bronco, and finally to my current ride, an '88 custom cab yota.  It has the normal trail stuff---duals, ARBs, 37s, and a tired 4 banger.
I moved from Fresno to Bako about 10 years ago for work and needless to say my trail trips have slowly dwindled to a couple of times a year.  Got heavy into dirt bike riding when I moved here.
Anyhow, I have been seeing more and more people post up stuff that are from this area, so I thought it be good to check in finally.  matt

Yes, yes, it's sas'd.  The rig was pretty much turn key since I traded my cousin the 66 bronco for the yota.---Needed more room for the family and all the camping stuff.  Ran out of space instantly in the bronco when we had to put the back seat in.  Sure nice to have all the creature comforts of a semi-newer rig again.  I've been surprisingly pleased with how well the yota wheels, even though it's gutless getting TO the trails.  The long wheelbase sure has its pros and cons though.  matt
