thinkin bout installing those 4:70's in my 88 runner.  shes a street/wheeler machine.  any suggestions?

I think that will work out well for you. I'm considering doing the same in my daily driver. I don't put it in situations where I really need duals but a little lower gearing would be nice. If it was my only wheeler then I would go duals with a regeared back case but since it's not running 4.7's is sounding really nice.
