Yeah, I've never left WA. in mine. Its never left me stranded but the idea of leaving the state in a 34 year old truck is a bit unsettling, maybe after a motor upgrade. My dad and I have been talking for a couple years about making it to the MC round up but driving there, wheeling then driving home without issue seems a bit risky to me, he doesnt thinks its any big deal.

I hope it's okay to revive this old thread...

Our 1999 4Runner has traveled through:
California
Nevada
Utah
Arizona
New Mexico
Colorado
Wyoming
Idaho
Oregon
Washington
British Columbia
Alberta

This includes
9 trips from California to the Canadian Rockies, with varying routes
4 trips to Utah slot canyons from CA
about 30 trips to Death Valley from the SF Bay Area

It's not a rock crawler (yet), but it's traveled on many 4WD roads on almost all of these trips.

arlindsay1992

I think it's okay to bring this thread back. I have an '87 4Runner with 418,000 miles. I've driven it in:

Vermont
New York
Pennsylvania
Ohio
New Jersey
West Virginia
Delaware
Maryland
Virginia
Tennessee
North Carolina
South Carolina
Georgia
Florida

Carfax shows that my truck was registered in California until 1999 so who knows where all it drove before I bought it.

That's a great picture of Marlin coming down Pritchett Canyon.  I'm not sure I'd enjoy a trip down, the last time I did the trail I used the winch anchor on that spot, I just couldn't get solid footing on the lower smooth rock and wasn't willing to hit it any harder.

In my current 4Runner, I've made two trips to Moab (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah) and one trip to the Rubicon (Washington & California).

My previous 85 never visited the Rubicon in California, but was also my college commuter between Washington and Colorado so add Wyoming it it's list.

A lot of the drivetrain is the same: front end, rear differential & transfer case.

It's been 13 years since this post and the list has not changed. It's now more about counting times it gets driven.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Moab Tested & Rubicon Approved

I daily drive mine still with almost 430,000 miles. Just got back from a trip to Southern Oregon yesterday, Over 900 miles there and back. I still trust my 33 year old 4runner.

Went on a trip to Moab last month and we also went off-roading in Colorado and Arizona.
We stopped at 4 corners too.
Went to 6 states in total on the trip and that's the most I've been to in my taco.
