Geeze you guys, give him a break. Im sure he understands that it was dumb to do that by now. You dont need to give him more crap. It was a bad mistake and im sure he'll think twice about even crossing that river even when its only a foot deep.

Sorry about the Runner and the fine. Hope everything comes out good.
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

So, you have never done anything wrong?
:pokinit: happens, you live and you learn..  And if your not making mistakes, then you aint learning. I tried getting across it and was denied with water poping over the hood and my interior was getting hosed, but I WILL make it tommorow or we have to figure out how to get somebody on the other side to help with getting the other toy out....

Ok, so this is what people should be saying right now:  What can I do to help?

Seriously.  I'm in New Mexico and I'd like to help.  You guys who live close by will have plenty of time to give him :pokinit: AFTER you help him drag his rig out of there.  Besides, he will owe you   EVERY time you go out.  Now go and help.

that sucks badly.  How big of tires does the black runner have?  The buggy is sweet.  And the buggy didn't make it through the river?  Must have been tuff.

I havent seen it that deep in years, and on the way up in the morning, I looked at the creek (It passes by my house) and my jaw dropped..
The kid who owns the other rig was my passenger to try and get to the other side, I think he was a bit spooked. Myself, I am no stranger to deep/ swift water crossings...

stop worrying about it. Everyone does a stupid thing every now and then. If we wouldn´t we wouldn´t have anything to laugh about afterwards. just check all the oils in you truck and start planing of the next stupid thing you wanna do (that what I would do).   Here is a pic of one of my stupid things.

Cool pics.  Just another blackeye we'll get by non wheelers viewing the site.  The greenies have a fit when you drive in the water.  They call it a hydraulic violation.  Over here in eastern Washington, we build bridges across the creeks and rivers during our work parties to keep everyone happy and keep our trails open.   :twocents:

IMO, posting pics is a mute point since these pictures can also be used to educate WHAT not to do.  And if the enviro nazi's want ammo, they don't even have to go to BBS's as more info can be found on by using search engines looking into people on-line photo albums.   And for the record where mike was stuck, is a popular trail over here..

Ok, got my rig loaded and waiting for a phone call to go get the other rig....

what can i do to help?  we couldn't really do anything.  but we helped him out before he even did it by telling him not to do it.  #1 he should've listened to us, and #2 if he didn't listen to us he should've seen the river and said hell no those guys are right.  so mike hopefully you learned a lesson to listen to people who know what they're talking about, and if you don't do that, make a good judgement on your own part.

in the projects nooga, anything goes

Well, the other 4 runner is out.  It took a little more work and I was able to get across with the owner so he could assist in the recovery.  And even with then water dropping about 3/4 of a foot from yesterday, the runner still had water over the hood when I was pulling it across...  I have pics to post later...
