Axle seals front and rear

Hey just rose my dads 84 hilux from the dead been sittin for ten years and well i need to do the axle seals and ive never messed with toyota axles before i was wondering if anyone knew anyone up towards seattle that could do them for some cash i'd love to learn how to as well. and well maybe with a little help from you guys i could possible do them myself  :wave:

I'm pretty sure to do the rears you need a special service tool. But if you look on pirate 4x4 go to the bulletin board. Scroll down to Toyota truck/4runner click on that, then click on Toyota bible 2.0 there is some real good reading there!! You can mos likely do the front on your own with simple hand tools

You dont need any special tools just to change the rear seals.
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

I used common hand tools on the rear with the addition of a long pipe and a thick piece of plywood to separate the backing plate from the axle after the c clip was removed. Unless you are changing the trunnion bearings(pound/fish scale) on the front, you can mostly do it with common hand tools although marlin does sell a nifty seal installation tool.
