Little blue plastic cover?

So I was putting my front axle together and the tie rod ends came with this little blue plastic cover. I have never seen a tie rod cover like this before?



It came on the tie rod end, but when I tried put it on the steering arm, it doesn't fit very well and make it very hard to get the nut started, and then would simply crush the cover. Anyone with information?

that's a little harsh. Ive never seen them shipped with something like that before. I was thinking maybe someone came up with a cool new tie rod protecto condom or something? 

It's not like I installed them!

haha i know man i was just messin with you. when i first looked at it. it looked like some new bushing..lol
