Dave,

What are you telling them? Just asking for a military discount? Don't they require some type of verification or something?
* Regardless of what happens, someone will find a way to take it too seriously.
* 2% rule: Must be 2% smarter than what your working on.
* If you make something even a fool can use, only a fool will use it.
* I've been crapping in the woods longer than lil'buddy has been alive!

I just ask if they offer a military discount, most places do, they just don't advertise it and they all require proof, so I just pull out my ID card and TAaa....DAaaaa

Instant discount fer us Current, former and disabled Military.

I've never been asked to provide ID for a discount.  As for dependents, a lot of places give them to dependents, I however would never ask for one if I were a dependent.  Those discounts are for the people that put themselves in harms way.

And not for people who have their parents gone for years at a time... ::)

Then it shouldn't make a difference to you or anyone else that's not been in the military, this is for those who were or are still in that deserve a helping hand and a break once and a while for the sacrifice that they gave.  :slap:

Well said yourself   One of the guys I work with served and was sent to afghanistan, came back and was found to have diabetes and wasn't allowed to reenlist.  It kills him that he can't go back and has to work a job like this instead of doing what he loves.  His wife doesn't work because she's pregnant so their only income is what he makes working around 30 hours a week.  I need to write down all the places where he can get a discount and pass it along to him.

That list is too long, Nate.... you'll get writer's cramp.

I printed it and am mailing it to you. Hope it helps him.
