WTB: Marfield or Longfield 27spline
« on: Feb 04, 2010, 01:44:58 PM »
Due to an unfortunate shipping error, I have a single UM-06.  I'm needing either another marfield or 27 spline longfield to make a set. I would also be willing to buy a pair if someone doesn't want to split them up.  Thanks!

You can get a single moly birfield for 100 bucks.  Its not as good as the longs but I am sure they would hold up.  I cant post where those if you get my drift.

I'm running one of those right now, but I got it for $15.  I'm wanting something I can have a little more confidence in.

Chromo birfs are much stronger then stock.  Unless your running 37" tires and fully locked with hydro steering I dont think your gonna break it.  Also get a set of a spare marfield or long isnt gonna happen since the longfields are life time warrantied and the marfields are warrantied for 2 years or more and dont break really.

Or you could just get longs and be done with it.

On 36s currently, locked in the front, and HA coming soon.  I'm just not convinced that this mystery composition birf is up to par.  And I agree, it's a long shot hoping for a single birf.  I'd take a pair if I could find someone upgrading to 30s.

If I can't find something in the near future, that's probably the route I'll go.  Nothing wrong with waiting to find a good deal though.

Yea, I hear you. It would be nice if there was a good cheap route to go for bomb proof axles. I have a heavy foot and the last thing I want is to be a tampon on a trail.
