Good to know you got your rig back.  There was a 4runner stolen from the Feather Falls casino last week but we recovered it on Dunstone.  Someone in the Oroville/Paradise area has a taste for Toyotas

FYI to everyone in the Oroville/Chico/Paradise area.  A lot of the recovered stolen vehicles in this area are being found within a mile or two of the original theft location.  A lot of times they're being found just around the corner or a couple streets away.  The MO that seems to be used right now is steal the car, drive it a short distance and then abandon it incase they were being followed.  After a few hours or the next day they will return to the stolen vehicle.  If its still around they know they are free and clear so they have all the time in the world to strip it, put different plates on, etc.  I'd advise if anyone gets their rigs stolen, canvas the area in the immediate vicinity of the theft.  Literally get out a map and just start driving every road you see.

Thats a good idea.

When it got stolen we went and drove a lot of the back roads we knew, where its common to abandon vehicles..

When it was really 3 miles up the road on some side street.

Yeah for sure about the getting dropped for a day or 2. Its a big thing in the honda game right now. Alot of theifs are taking cars and ditching them 2-5 miles away and just watching them to see if they have lo-jack or if they were caught stealing them. It sucks. I'd put a alarm in it or get a quick release hub. Or better yet chain your trucks together and to the ground. I hate that we have to lock our stuff up why can't people just work for their ish and leave others alone will never get me.
Good to hear you got the truck back though and most of your tools. $30 coil beats replacing everything.

Exactly...  We should all take some preventive measures.

I posted in my thread.. Some other kid's yota got stolen a few streets over from where Thomas's got jacked from.  And we ended up going up to the snow and saw it off powelton stuck, I honestly didnt' pay attention to it, but the kid ended up driving up my street and asking if i had seen it and Thomas remembered..  Low life pieces of :pokinit:..  Stole the truck, dumped it on powelton road, and took the stereo, and maybe some other stuff, i am not sure on the exact details.

Just sketchy to me to know its all in my area, and just wanted to remind everyone to keep their trucks locked, and keep an eye on them.

on our way out we saw some people there,
we stoped to see if they needed help.
and the guy said it wasnt his and it had been stuck there for days
he was just borrowing the hilift to get his snowmobile unstuck ??
sounded weird to be, did dude get his hilift back with it?

Dingman.

I have no idea I haven't talked to the kid at all, except when he drove by asking if we had seen it.

Honestly i don't really remember seeing it up there.  I saw it out of the corner of my eye sunday afternoon on our way up for a rescue mission,  but never really paid attention.
Then that night i took some girl up to the snow so she could see it this season, and i mentioned while driving by (there was a toyota stuck here earlier today) and we saw a truck stuck, looked like a bigger vehicle than a toyota though, but i didn't stop cause i had nothing to help them out with. Not even 4wd to pull them out.   And on the way back down i saw there was another truck there.  I don't know of what happened or not.  Wish i would have known, i woulda stopped and got some information.  Hell i woulda stopped and pulled them out probably if i had 4wd, but that area had a bunch of snow and i didn't feel like getting stuck driving on it..

where about on clarion did u find the truck. i live on clarion mostly on the weekends and will be back in aug (in sac going to school till then) but there was some guys living down the street trying to take the battrie out of my truck when i came back home one day and they say they were barrowing it not sure if they still live there but they could of been the one that took the truck

Dingman.

I believe it was. Just as you turned onto clarion. I don't believe it was visible from Wycliff though.  So I guess Just around the corner

littlebroii

theres a white toyota in front of a house with broken windows and a missing rear tire with a tool box thats was all open a week or two ago i wonder if thats a theft too its when u turn on clarion from cumberlin. but thats where thoes guys lived was to the wycliff side about 5 or 6 houses up
