IFS Steering Boxes
« on: Jan 04, 2010, 01:57:14 PM »
I have 2 IFS steering boxes from 4wd 2nd Gen Runners, everything's in great condition. the boxes have been drilled and tapped for hydro assist, have been cleaned, and painted with a bronze Hammered finish. They come with the section of steering linkage that attaches to the box, low pressure fittings (not shown in pictures) and JIC-6 fittings for hydro lines. pretty much plug and play ready to go. I also have the original pitman arms just in case someone needs that also. willing to ship but on buyers expense. 150$ each. located in Chico ca, my cells (530) 966 5982, Matt.

ya people do that all the time, you just plug the fittings. Even if you don't use it right away, if you decide to do hydro assist its already ready to go no taking out the box and doing all that work.

they aren't rebuilt, there were in good condition so I didn't feel like anything needed to be replaced. but yes i did all the work and i cleaned them up (cleaners and wire wheel) and painted them.

i usually don't drive down there often. but i have been driving to san fransicso once a week, not sure if that's in your area at all. i do have a buddy ( jud on the board) that lives here in chico but goes to see his family in Modesto often.

I'll take one for sure. No leaks on that drill and tap for hydro right? I live in sac but am out of town right now, but would be willing to drive up to chico to grab it. 2nd gen 4runner would make it from an 88 and up right? Let me know

Either one of these still available???  My stock box for my 89 is puking fluid and I need a new box.  The option for hydro assist would be sweet!!  I'd be willing to pay for shipping to 35010.  Shoot me a pm if they are available.
