i had to  go through my engine one more time before i took it back to Putney. Kind of glad i did,it still has an oil light and i have checked the pickup tube, new gasket, bolts all tight. So i know thats not the problem. Oil pump is a brand new Aisin, not junk, so why whould there be no oil pressure???? Trying to track down the problem right now, any suggestions from anyone???

missing oil galley plug inside the block? or you have a bad oil pressure sending unit.... Put a manual gauge on it and see what kind of pressures you are REALLY getting!
