My friends run 38x11.5x15 boggers and they go everywhere. Aired down to 3-7 psi. I have 37" MTR's I air down to 5-8 psi and they do great. No problems except in ice. if they were siped they would probly do better. And i have always heard very good things about IROKS.
SAS 89 p/u 3.0 5speed, bobbed, locked, ready to play in the rocks. or wherever the pavement ends :)

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

What size tire are you after?  What are the normal winter road conditions?  Do you wheel in the snow, or just have to drive in it?

33 or 35 inch tires. it is my 4x4 rig not my DD but i do driving it to where i go wheeling because i cant afford a tow rig. i want a tire that is pretty aggressive because I 4x4 in  snow, mud, and trails but want a tire that wares better than a bogger or irok on the road

km2's about were its at or toyo mts. I would suggest iroks radials to but for how much your asking for probably the toyos will be your best bet. My friends had a set on his 83 for almost 2 years now with around 25k and their still going great do good in the sand, mud, trails, and really great on the road and snow.

I've done snow once, and my 33 BFG Muds (KM) did great. Better than some 37 Pro Comp Xterrains. I had a friend tell me Cooper STTs worked well and where quiet on the street.

I was completely blown away by the performance of my 39.5" Iroks on the snow packed & icy streets last week!  My fronts are over 1/2 worn out and the rear are 3/4.  I had no issues with them.  Stopping was amazing.  My 4Runner stopped 2-3 times as fast on the slick streets as compared to my Honda Accord.  I've heard the Iroks do very well for snow wheeling as well!  I can't wait

ha guys a couple of years ago i was in the market chasing after the almighty MTR. Well this was during the build up in iraq so the 37/12:50/15 not available!.the place that i had the order in with just sent me some interco/truxusMT  after a very lengthy  :tantrum: i accepted their advise  wow that thing rocks in the sno and as for over all out traction. Compaired  to the MTR it has very good side wall traction on the rocks and after aired down the 12:50 size looks like a 13:50!

I have ran these on 3 trucks now, (91 f-150, 85 toy, 97 GMC), and they do pretty well. I recently put some 33" Goodyear Duratracs on the toyota, and they are by far the BEST all around tire I have had on a truck for winter, hands down. I would HIGHLY suggest them. I will be putting these tires on every truck I have now, and they will be my winter tires for the toy.

I ran a set of 33" trxus mt's and i loved those tires.. Regret getting rid of them.

for snow wheeling now i have a set of 39.5" bald iroks and those things mash just about anywhere.  I love those too.
