« on: Dec 03, 2009, 11:04:44 AM »
Ended up with non SR5 trim that won't work in my SR5 truck.

$55 shipped.

post up some pics.  How come it wouldn't work on your SR5, I'm wondering if it'll work on a Deluxe.

Deluxe should be fine. The AC controls are different on SR5s. My fans speed control is a round knob. I'll get some pics next time I'm at home.

I don't think it's an sr5/non sr5 thing, it's probably an early vs late first gen thing.  Early had all slide controls, late had the knob for fan control I believe.

What you are selling is a 1981 non SR5 radio, dash bezel.  It will work for 79-83, but no the 82-83 toyotas that had the round heater control knob rather than the earlier flip up control switch.  The 1981 was the first printed plate around the heater controls which followed the raised letter type from 1979 and 1980.  Your piece looks like is has the area for the air conditioning switch too.  It will work for the SR5 and non SR5 versions, both 2 and 4WD.  Potantially it could be used on a truck that did not have air conditioning if the buyer didnt mind the extra slot.  Hope this helps everyone to clarify, and you to sell you part.  $55.00 is a good deal for an air conditioning bezel.
