I am going to be putting a locker into my rear 3rd member. I was wondering what I should replace on the 3rd as well as what I should check/replace on/in the axlehousing (seals and stuff?) If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it. It is a 95 rear axle and who knows when it was gone through last.

just double check backlash when you re install the carrier bearings

then i'd replace the seals

The axle seals and the outer rubber seals or just the axle seals?

It's such a PITA to do twice that you're better off just doing it once and forgetting about it for the next 5-10 years.

That is kinda what I was thinkin but just wanted to be sure it was the right thing. How difficult is it to swap the outer rubber seals?

Right on. Good to hear that. Does anyone know where I can find a solid pinion spacer to use on the locker install instead of the crush sleeve?
