Suspension Lifts IFS

I have seen
downeys
pro comps
superlifts
suspension lifts which one is best, or would you recommend based on experience. i have a 94 toy0ta pickup

No really, are you building a crawler or a pre-runner?
If a crawler, then scrap the ifs, you won't regret it.

Really, more info. What kind of wheelin are you going to do? If this is mostly a street rig, than most any lift will do. If your really going to use it, then how hard are you going to use it?
What size tires do you want to run?

My 4" trailmaster hasn't failed me yet but i'm getting rid of it cause it don't flex worth crap
87 runner, 4" trailmaster lift, 33" TSL/SX, 5.29's V6 e-locker, 22re that cost too much

I had the Downey kit with Rancho arms & low profile bump stops. It worked O.K. until I started wheeling harder trails with larger rock & climbs. Then I started bending stuff & overextend CV's & break them. If you are going to anything more than mild wheeling it is not cost efficient to build on the IFS front in my opinion. A solid front axle is cheaper in the long run.

don't waist your money on ifs lift do a sas.i did a ifs lift and it end up being cheaper for the sas parts.wont ever do that again.
89 ext cab sas with diamond +4 1/2" housing 30 spline longs and hub gears, hp elocker, six studs, arp studs in everything, taco rear with elocker. swaped out 22re for 3.4l supercharged, urd 2.0" pulley, urd fuel management, downey headers, flowmaster, cold air intake, marlin clutch that is straining to hold up

how were you able to do a sas for less than an ifs lift? just the steering costs about half of an ifs lift. then you got axle, dshaft, brake lines, springs, etc.

the steering is the $$ part,  you can get a axle fairly cheap,  get some landcruiser rotors and your done, depending on the year you may or may not have to have a drive shaft made,  just have yours modified if needed

if you have coils in the rear go this route

did some work for a guy and got the axle and drive line for nothin and springs were only 100$ for 4 inch front springs. made my own steering.made my own front hanger.

Uhh, you don't actually drive that on the road,     do you?
I'm all for some home brew stuff but, i'm not sure i'd feel real good about cruisin down the highway with that.
But i've always had a bad vibe about welding those arms. I have been known to heat and bend the arms, to make them high steer. But a fair amount of research went into finding out how to do it the right way. (heat, bend, pack in sand and let cool very slowly. to put it briefly)
You already have the steering boxs. All you need is arms and tie rod and drag link.
Anyways....we still don't know what kind of wheelin, if any, this guys going to do. Alex....where did ya go?

I gots a 4" pro comp lift.  It works fine, I wish I had an SAS :down: but for now, the Pro Comp works great
