i wish i had crossover steering ( bent mine up about an hour ago)

so i figured i would tell everyone about my experience i had tonight my friends and i decided to go snowmobiling this evening with a snowmobile that we picked up for a hundred bucks well we were out fooling around with my 85 4-runner stock except for bfg's 31.10:50's all terrains  anywaays i took it down a hill and hit a stump head on and you know what happened  dang i wish i had crossover steering then got my rearend hung up on the dam stump wich really makes me want a locker in the front and rear just thought i would tell everyone about my exciting evening. i guess i gotta go back out there tomarow to recover it id post pics but i dont have a digital camera hope you get a kick out of my post latter...........

Just get print pictures scan them or take them to Wal-Mart and tell them to do it for you

ya its out in the middle of no where  so it should be safe my buddies and i are going to go recover it tonight!!!  does anyone know if its repairable it looks like a smiley face no compound bends in it ive been told that its easily repairable any thoughts id pice it today at a salvage yard (55 dollars) including the tie rod ends then i went to toyota 100 dollars minus tie rods seeing as how my tie rods are brand new i thought about going this route i just dont have the money for crossover steering wich would be the best way to go :yupyup:

just get it as close as you can the measure your tires on the back and then the front to make sure its pretty close,  then make fine adjustments

make your own hillbilly crossover just cut a steering arm and weld it upside down on the passenger side works good i have it on my 84

Those aren't supposed to be there are they.
87 runner, 4" trailmaster lift, 33" TSL/SX, 5.29's V6 e-locker, 22re that cost too much

i have the front end apart wating for gears. just have the tires on to move it around. if you look you can see the nuts for the steering arm are not tight. and the tire rubs the tie rod end. when we built the arm we didnt turn it enough. we did it with the tire off. nothing wheel spacers cant take care of.

when i get the front end put back together hell yes! it hasent broke yet.i know a couple guys that did the same thing and it hasnt broke yet.
