I really like my BFG MT's. The new KM2's should do great on a toyota, they wore horribley on a higher horsepower/torque Superduty my brother has but I dont think any tire would last.

The Maxxis Bighorns also seem to hook up and wear fairly well.

Toyos are super heavy I would go for a lighter tire for a DD.

I've been running 35" pro comp A/T's and I love em. They had a "buy 3 get 1 free" sale and tookem up on it. Whether I paid too much for them still, I don't quite know.  All I know is that I likem a LOT!

Toyos are super heavy I would go for a lighter tire for a DD.

On a similar note, I mounted up a set of 35x12.50-15 bfg a/t the other day and was very surprised by how light they were!  I'm small and weak and they seemed to weigh about the same as a 31.

I would get km2s for sure depending on what your wheeling but they work awesome in rocks and muddy trails. My buddy has 33s has dded them for about a year and they have minimal wear and he hasn't rotated them even. I also suggest the mtrs to the toyos are super heavy for a toyota to dd but they have thick sidewalls and last a while to.

IMO-
MTR's are great on the road but they are on the soft side of a DD tire.

BFG KM's are a little harder, and BFG AT's are harder than KM's. T

The AT's are ok off road, but wear really good on the street and have the added bonus of being the best snow rated tire out there (great winter street tire).

ya i was thinking about a set of tsls but i went to my 4 wheel parts and one of the guys there had 40in irocs on his jeep with 30,000 miles and still pretty decent tread so i think i might get a set of those.

swampers on a daily driver is crazy unless you got money to blow  dont be surprised if they're bald after 10,000 miles
he had to have the radials and be exaggerating the miles a little

The real question that needs to be answered is how often does the truck leave the pavement?

If your rig is like most DD's the BFG AT's will work well for you.  As mentioned they do pretty good on most terrain, and you will last you upwards of 70k miles where most MT's are good for about 40-50k.  My last set clocked 70k before buying new, and they still had about 10k of pavement miles left in them.  Of course the AT's don't look that aggressive and may not impress your buddies, but running MT's on a DD that sees mostly pavement is a lot like running Z rated tires on a Mini-van.

If you keep an eye on craigslist or Pirate4x4, you could likely get a set of used AT's and MT's w/rims for about $300 each.

When I first built my rig I ran 315/75r/16 goodyear wrangler muds when those wore out I went to mastercraft courser mtr's I have had them on since Jan 07 and they have about 30,000 miles on them I will have to get new tire probably this coming Jan.  The mastercrafts were about 210.00 per tire and lasted about the same time as the goodyear mtr's.

And fyi, the mastercrafts are basically made by cooper.  Look at cooper's website and you may be surprised how many different companies they own!  Actually, look at any major tire manufacturer's site and you'll see that many of them are in cahoots.
