recommend a rebuilder in Fresno
« on: Oct 26, 2009, 05:31:37 PM »
Planning on swapping a 3.4 into my 92 ex-cab but I cant find a donor after looking for a while. I did find one from Dave's Off-Road but then I had to drop the money on my dog  :yikes: :yikes:

Anyway, I think that I am just gong to have this one rebuilt 3.0 V6. It spun a rod bearing pretty good and I have been lucky enough to have just stuck a new bearing in it and have driven it sparingly for the past few months.

Anyone recommend a good shop here in Fresno/Clovis that does quality work for a fair price?? Like to stay in the $1500 range.

You might check All Engine for a low mileage motor. As far as a rebuild, X2 on Dave Hiatt. Dave does great work and is extremely meticulous.

man i want a 3.4 so bad but finding one is proving very difficult.

I have had dave do work before and he is great. I dont think i have time for a rebuild myself though on this one. I could make time to do the 3.4 swap, but for a 3.0 rebuild.........
