Hallo from Moscow, Russia
« on: Nov 08, 2004, 09:50:14 AM »
Hello from Moscow, Russia!
I've got an 1981 Toy LandCruiser BJ44-V - all torn apart, partially tubed, SPOA, 4.88, just sold my 35"MT Grabbers and planning to buy 38" TSL. It has PTO stock winch, converted to x-steering, used to be right hand wheel (it was a gray import from Japan). This is my second TLC, first I used to own, when I was an x-chage student in Seattle, WA, 1994-1997. At the moment the project is stopped because I totaled my DD - 1986 2WD Hardbody shortbed gray import from CA. I am planning to use  it's motor (Z24i) 'cause everything else is trashed for my new DD resurection project: just got a double cab from junk yard and Patrol 160/MQ LWB frame - the truck will be reborn and it will have Patrol chassis (9.5" pumkins, SAS, SPOA, power steering). After that I will return to my sacred LandCruiser.
Andrey
PS. Person with nick "Russian" is my buddy, his name is Andrey too.

Welcome.  That Z24 is a good motor.  I used to have an 87 hardbody....that was a good little truck.

Thanks for welcoming! I really want to get my LandCruiser up and running but I've got to fix my DD first. When I was in the US, I used to own '84 SR5 22R long bed single cab.  It was a sweet machine (though it was all stock on 31" BFG ATs).
One of my concerns if Z24i will be able to turn Patrol axles similar to Toy 9.5" and 33" rubbers.
