solid axle hubs

my drivers side solid axle hub is very tight to turn, could the hub be shot?

I could not turn mine by hand and just pulled them a part, cleaned them out really good, then regreased them and put them together and now they turn with no problem.

dude, just clean it up

 the more you use them the easier they will get to turn

Might have too much grease.  I know mine where hard to turn when I had them too full.

Take it apart, clean it all out, and regrease it. If you take the red dial out of the black circle, be careful or you WILL lose the small spring and bearing. It sucks.


Might have too much grease.  I know mine where hard to turn when I had them too full.

I did that as well. I took them back apart and took some of the grease out, then reassembled it and it was good to go.

Happens to me all the time.
do what they said. take it apart clean it all up
throw some grease in there. then you should be good
