if you clock the rear t-case what does that do to the t-case mount
is there a modifcation to do a differnt mount or does the low pro x-member come for it
so i guess how do you compinsate doe that extra twist on the mount

BigMike

That's a good question!

You could always leave one of the mounts off, for instance if you are going to run out crossmember then it would be ok with just the one mount on the crawl box..

..and you can't shim the mount because then the one side would stick down to far...

Cim its time for a flatbelly!  Just pull the seats and cut the floor out building it back around the new arm rest/ transfercase.  Trust me its fun, Ive done it twice. :gap:

Why not try and fabricate up something like what FrontrangeOffoad has, where the crossmember bolts to the back of the T-Case? Then you could keep the center of gravity low, and eliminate the bumpstops all together.

Big Mike, what kind of crossmember did you guys use for the guinnea pig rig that you installed the adapter into, and how was the crossmember configured?

toyman2

WhiteTrash  i cant do thati have to keep the CG down low for all the side hilling i do i like to beable to lean 40deg and not worry about rolling
so now what the heck does a guy do does someone make a mount for that angel the crossmember :dunno: :smack:

cgbemis

You could put a wedge in between the mount and the crossmember.

toyman2

ok but what about the center bolt and alighning all the bolts

WHITE_TRASH

Sure you can flat belly it you just gotta take some of the lift out of your truck.  If I can put 38's with NO rubbing on my 90 with 3" of lift you chould be able to do better than that with your first gen.

toyman2

i have about 3in of lift and i rub my 38s gumbos big time but i dont rub my 36SXs
also my front end is fowerd 2in and my front fenders are cut
its to much work for what you get

WHITE_TRASH

Yup Ill agree its a hell of a lotta work but it just looks so damned cool when you look under the rig and see a tiny bit of driveline and the front springs.  It makes me feel all tingley inside.....

Thats a good idea, but this would actually hurt the center of gravity since the FROR crossmember is lighter than ours and it sits higher. FROR's is better for ground clearance, worse for center of gravity.

Actually I dont believe its has ever been installed yet. We just tested it on a drivetrain and checked for body clearance, and everything looked great so we told our Machinist, cruzila, to pump 'em out-

This weekend I will be building my Crawler and I will be installing the MC08R10 so I will let you know how it goes..

So are you going to do dual clocked adapters for your three T-Cases?

:ack: Nah, just MC08 then MC08R10. I guess I could run both clocked but I wonder if it would still oil properly?

Anyways, I'm not worried about my clearance, Marlin just wants me to use the best stuff he's got so I can spread the word on his awesome products  I am paying for the parts BTW

Could't you rethread the bolt holes of the T-case mount at an angle and weld an 8* axle shim in under it  :headscratch: and isn't the cross member from front range the one that bolts to the rear of the t-case? if it is my buddy has 1 and his truck vibtrates like hell.
Sounds like more tree huggin hippie bull :pokinit:

BigMike

tell him to check his rear drive line. chaning the point of where you support the drivetrain will not affect the vibrations, unless in an extreme case, but its possible that when he mounted his cross member, he moved his drivetrain up and made his rear driveline angle worse..

He needs to go get a set of rubber bushings for the sides of the mount. FROR supplies urethane ones with their kit.

I am definately interested in the clocked adapter for a future dual setup. It would allow for a flat belly with minimal drivetrain lift which is awesome if you ask me. But what will those of us who have a T-Case E-Brake do if someone starts making a crossmember like FROR? Personally I would buy a clocked adapter if I knew I could get a dual case crossmember specifically designed for the clocked adapeter, and had an option for a drivetrain lift, kind of like Sky's if you will. That would be pimp!  :bling:  Sounds like Marlin needs to make a crossmember!! If you guys do... make it with an option for a drivetrain lift large enough to create a flat belly.

whenever I do go duals I plan on using this new clocked adapter and do a flat belly so a crossmemeber already set-up for this would be great! Do you guys planon offering shifters already modified for the clock(specificaly the twin-stick)?
Thanks
