I have to admit that my 4Runner did me proud on this trip, with no major problems, but there is always room for improvement. What is everyone planning on doing to make it better for next year? What worked/failed?

My List:
1. Rear springs up front--better tire clearance from the fenders
2. Cross over steering--Never had a problem, but don't want one either. Seen 2 broken ones now.
3. Get my rock/load lights mounted and wired--setting up camp in the dark sucks.
4. Finish OBA system--would be nice to have more capacity...Air tools!
5. Finish tire rack--better storage for other things as well. get the heavy stuff off the roof rack.
6. Onboard or ready welder--I didn't need it this time, but saw a few folks where it would have helped. who knows, may need it later.
7. On board shower--would be nice to rinse off the trail dust in the evening.

I'm sure more will come up, but that's what I'm thinking now.

you can always use more articulation
cross over is nice to have
lights, mount some on the swing out spare carrier so you can point them where you want them
OBA is awesome
swing  out tire carriers are great
Ready welders rock
look into the portable shower bags work great and their cheaper than instant hot ones

RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Thanks.  I am happy with most of what I'm running right now: 351w/C6/np203/205/D60/14bolt runnin' 5.13s rollin on 40s.

My next work in progress in a drawer in the back of my rig which will slide out and hold tools, fluids and spares.  It will be pretty big.  The sliders we are looking at run around $350.  The reason for this is I'm getting older and am getting sick of climbing up and down my jungle gym (cage) to get at parts and tools.  This design will let me pack all the camping stuff I want and have the ease of getting at everything I need.

seabass

I run same combo
front is HPD60 & I have 47s rest same
