reverse wont work

first of it is a manual. when i try to put it in reverse it just grinds and wont stop so i cant get it into reverse. what do you think is the problem? is it a bad syncro?

you need to make the rod from the pedal to the clutch master longer, and /or the rod from the slave to the clutch fork longer

 i dont know if this will help any but it goes into every other gear just fine

Give some more info on the trans, age, milage, etc? I agree is it was working, and the forward gears work, then it's prolly a suyncro or iinkage problem.
If you see it, its for sale.

its an 86 i think a G54 trans and it has about 186000 miles. i just bought it and I'm sure the transmission oil hasn't been changed. do you think that could be a problem?
