Caravelle's were pretty nice trailers. Should make a decent toy hauler.

Ok, peanut tried to add to this last night after her and a buddy (Reco Very) tore into the trailer but she doesn't have enough posts to put up pics and I was on the road... So here is the copy/paste from another forum...

Alrighty.....more pictures!!!

Today Reco Very and I worked on starting tearing this behemoth down.  I am soooooo sunburned!!  We had a ton of fun though!!  I love destructing things!!  So anyway  I of course took a bunch of pics as the day went on.
This is what we started with...

a little look inside

So we started working on that wall some more

it was the wall that the stove, sink, hot water heaters - yes plural - a gas and an electric

with that stuff out of the way.  I kept the sink because it was in good condition.  Everything else we junked though.

what is left of the tip out

Then Reco started working on the other side

We rolled up the carpet and worked on getting some other stuff out of the way.

took the wall and shelves down that was up on top

The other side

you can see how much the ceiling is starting to sag

Reco giving it hell.......notice the roof is no longer one piece

He didn't want boards and such to come crashing down on his head....so he borrowed my hard hat..... :hahaha:

We found a supporting board and gave it a little tug

Well as we were both standing some distance away......  we kind of had a little woopsie......

Does this look a little crooked to you????

with a little more tugging we got it all the way down

After that we had to clean up our mess since I have to work tomorrow and Reco has to head over the mountains for a day or so.  We actually managed to get the whole front down to where the roof is sitting on that upper part over the 5th wheel.  It was too dark to get a pic though.

Talk about getting some funny looks!!  Everyone that drove by today just about broke their necks looking at the rv and what we were doing.  I'm just amazed the cops or the landlords haven't shown up...  LOL!!!  :hahaha:

Yea it should be cool when it's done... Gonna leave the steps on there too so there is no hassle climbing up on the deck.

We have borrowed a trailer from a buddy that has clear led lights all the way down the center and it is pure bad ass when loading at night.  Once I hit the lotto I'll be buying a big box of them and doing the same. :gap:

Not sure of actual measurement but it has outriggers off of the main rails that go all the way to the edge of the body.

You're telling me....  roughly 260 miles one way beings we headed north to scapoose then home.  Fully expected to lose at least a tire but I adjusted the wheelbearings and checked them for grease before it moved.

$400...  I figure the axles and chassis are worth that at the bare minimum.

Nope no pics, they are the typical oval lights mounted to standard steel brackets that have been welded to the center of the chassis.
