Suggestions on 97 runner limited
« on: Jul 27, 2009, 12:19:28 PM »
Hey guys recently went to mirror lake and was dissappointed with how my rig performed but then again it is still stock besides my 3 inch lift. if interested there are pics in the trail reports section. but anyways i was wondering if there are any suggestions that you guys could share with me to get more performance out of my runner. Keep in mind i have IFS and its automatic. All suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Im ready to start this project and make my runner a lot more beastly. thanks in advance -christian

Does anyone know if that pro comp lift will even fit my truck? it seems like its impossible to find lifts that fit my truck since it is IFS

yeah thats the problem is how none of the lifts fit and fabtech is too expensive. i already have a 3" OME lift and it gives me good clearance but not enough for what im looking for. My brother just recently got a 86 toyota pickup and it has a four inch lift and it looks as if his truck just towers over mine and i dont understand why it looks so much more beastly. My truck does really well on the trails for having IFS but im looking for that next step. And does anyone know where i can pick up some 4.88s for a good price?

Get Marlin's A340F adapter and throw another case in it
It was just crazy to see this deer leap all suicidal style off this embankment right in front of us.

ive almost decided to just stop trying to make the 97 into a craawler and just use it as my daily driver and then buy a first gen runner as my toy. but im still doing research and trying to come up with the $ as well.
