How to use Smilies Correctly..

I've seen this happening alot, and after getting tired of editing and modifying people's postings to correct it, I need to announce this so people can stop making this mistake.

The way that the Forum Software can tell if you want to use a smiley is by a unique code that each smiley has.

For instance,

Is the code for the smiley:

However, recently, I've noticed that a mistake is made where the spaces before and/or after each ":" is removed, resulting in this:

I have an:idea:
Which will incorrectly display the smiley since it is attached to the word "an" as follows:
I have an:idea:
This is also true for words attached after a smiley code:
I :dunno:if it was mine

Please leave both spaces before and after each smiley code so that the smiley will appear, as follows:

I have an

I :dunno: if it was mine
I if it was mine

:hyper:Mikey, do you want to know a way to stop all of that silliness? in the smilie shortcuts, add a space to the front and back of each one, thereby negating the need to add spaces to the sentences.

hmmmm.... By defult it adds a space to the front of it, so I should probabely search for that code and find out how to add a space behind it.

Ok guys, I've now changed the code for the smiliey function to include a space after the smilie as well as before.

This should put an end to all of the smiliey abuse!
