gear oil

what gear oil do I use in my 1991 IFS pickup?? I need to drain it and Im not sure what to replace it with

should just be 80-90 weight gear oil. i've used like 80-125 since the store didn't have 80-90.

the ifs should be the same as everything else.

diffs and transfer case take GL5 oil
tranny takes GL4 oil(redline MTL or MT90 or equivilant, GL5 is too slippery and will make you have notchy shifts).  GL4 won't hurt the t-case though if you use it in there

I use 90 on mine and its IFS cept mine is a 94 but its still the same

If it's an auto tranny the tcase might take ATF.  Mine does.
